Catching up from summer....

This is a photo dump from the summer and fall...today is October 27 and the garden is to bed. No photos but the Tomatillos were still developing fruit until I pulled them just last week. I made 15-20 pints of Tomatillo Salsa Verde with them and with my Jalapenos.  Time to think about staying warm and start planning next years garden.

What's growin' on...

Picked some beans today..might pickle them tonight..

Can't eat enough Zucchini these days.. any good stuffed baked recipes out there?

Eggplant is finally coming on, with luck it will fruit before frost!

Tomatillos are over 5' tall and flowering but not really producing fruit. Rats.

I pulled the Garlic last week and planted bush beans.

Here's my garlic crop curing on the porch. The bulbs pretty small on average. They had about the most sun my site can provide. Hope it's enough for canning!

My strongest crop is the tomatoes and they are producing well. I've tied all of the stakes together so that I can train them laterally. The rake is about 5'4" tall.

Some cherry tomatoes blushing..

Also in the garden... the Salmon Falls Yacht Club fleet!

In the garden today

We had a pretty massive bit of rain and some wind come through last night. It started about 2 minutes after I turned on the sprinkler, having given up on waiting...
The tomatoes have already passed the 6' stakes...not sure really what to do at this point.

Chili peppers are coming.

That's a Castor Bean in front of my beets patch.
It could get really big so I will transplant it in the fall.

New rows of carrots and swiss chard..

The garlic is sending up its flowers

Zuke!

Tomatillos coming back from last night's winds.

Basil and I hope eggplant coming

Cukes, squash, beans, pole beans, a couple of corn stalks

There is a pumpkin hiding in there

Amazing what will grow in part sun...
