Daisey is home and so we have flowers!

Daisey has filled all my recent pots with annuals...The big red pot was made by master potter 'Target'.

Having fun planting in and around the stone wall.
With all the rain and lack of sun my early plantings are holding on by threads. The last two days of sun will do them good. Most of my seedings are still puny. In the ground as of this morning are beans, peas, corn (sprouting), squash, tomatos, lettuce, onions carrots, beets, spinach, radishes, garlic, brussel sprouts, broccoli and some herbs. Waiting on peppers, cukes, cantelope, eggplant...

 My roadside garden...

I cleared a little more around the pumpkin patch this morning...dropped a few more tomatoes in and room for more planting.
Yesterday I enlarged the beds next to the stone steps...last year the tomatoes needed more space.
The idea was to go native this summer...so I planted three rows of corn with pole beans and squash...the beans climb the corn and the squash shade the beds...we'll see...

Getting started

Every spring I spread a little compost...mmmm...seven yards so far..

Starting some seeds collected from last years garden in seedling trays saved from last year.
Like my yard...finding sunny spots for seedling trays is the critical task.
Hill rows in the new garden area.
Seedling trays migrated outside two weeks later and maybe three weeks ago..
Garlic planted last fall and onions from Snell's planted this spring.

Hope this week of rain will be followed by a week of sun!
